I explore the effectiveness of using metaphors in design to communicate complex emotions, thoughts, and perspectives.

Where will I be on my 80th?

I wasn't to sure how to answer this question, and I know that if I was 80, and would be looking forward to what life has to bring that year. I will be looking forward to moving forward.

Initially I struggled with the concept of thinking about my life at 80 years old and coming up with metaphors for it while also making it a calendar at the same time. However, one thing is for certain, I always want to keep moving forward. Life will throw thing at me from any direction, and the effects it has on me will be at different levels. I decided to reflect this by creating

a composition that had arrows moving forward with depth to it, to reflect how I want to always keep moving forward. There are 12 arrows to reflect the 12 months. The intertwinedness if the arrows at the bottom show the complexity life is, but the end goal is to be up!
